Biscuit Tree Corner

Here at Biscuit Tree Corner we are all about encouraging children to develop a love of books and reading. That’s why we’ve created this special page just for children so they can submit their own reviews of their favourite books.

Here you can tell us all about the books you like to read and share those views with other children. This way we can all discover new books to read!

All you have to do is email your book review to and, in return, we will send you a cool certificate to say a big thank you!

You can choose to review any book but don’t forget to tell us the name of the book, the author and illustrator and make sure you include a reviewer name (not your own name) and your age!

We look forward to reading all your fabulous reviews!

Children’s Book Reviews:

Douglas’s Trousers by Sarah Griffiths and Holly Bushnell

“This book is about a small boy called Douglas who helps to save his school. I love how the magic potion helps Douglas to fly and that everyone gathers around to watch him. It’s a really nice story and the pictures are great.”

Review by Starflight (age 6)

Oi Frog! by Kes Gray & Jim Field

“I love this book. My favourite thing about it is the fact that it rhymes. I really like the pictures and love the bit at the end when the dog sits on the frog.”

Review by Captain Sparky (age 5)

Astronaut Lamby by Jude Lennon and Holly Bushnell

“This book is about Astronaut Lamby and his trip to space. I like how this book rhymes and the colourful pictures. My favourite bit is when Astronaut Lamby takes off in the rocket and when he meets his new friend the alien Zutt. I like reading this story to my little brother. One day I’m going to be an astronaut just like Lamby!”
